Ἔσται γὰρ ὅταν ἐπικαλέσησθε με ἐγὼ δὲ οὐκ εἰσακούσομαι ὑμῶν ζητήσουσίν με κακοὶ καὶ οὐχ εὑρήσουσιν. Ὡς Κύριον γὰρ ἐπικαλούμεθα τὴν σοφίαν οὖσαν Χριστόν. Ὁ οὖν ἐπικαλούμενος τὸν Χριστὸν, εἰ νοεῖ τίς ἐστιν, ἐπικαλεῖται σοφίαν, σύνεσιν, ἁγιασμὸν, δικαιοσύντην, καὶ πᾶσαν ἀρετήν· εἰ καὶ μὴ χείλεσιν, ἀλλὰ πράξεσιν. For it shall be that when they call on me, I do not answer, and the wicked shall seek me and not find me. 1 So the Lord we invoke who is the wisdom that is Christ. 2 He, then, who is calling on Christ, if a man thinks he is, he calls to himself wisdom, intelligence, prudence, sanctity, righteousness and every virtue: not with the lips but with deeds.
