Love And Possessions

Et habebant omnia communia. Si charitas Dei diffunditur in cordibus nostris, mox profecto generat et proximi dilectionem. Unde propter geminum charitas ardorem, his Spiritus sanctus legitur apostolis datus. Magnum est fraterni amoris indicium, omnia communia possidere; nihil proprium habentes. 'And they had everything in common.' 1 If the love of God is diffused within our hearts, soon it gives birth to love of our neighbour. Whence on account of this double love, it is said that the Holy Spirit is given to the Apostles. It is a great sign of fraternal love to possess everything in common, claiming nothing as one's own.
