That you reckon yourselves dead to sin, living to God 1 The Greek has 'logizesthe', that is, not reckon, but 'think' which seems to have more certitude than feeling and faith. So we should always think and have before the eyes that in baptism we have taken a vow and stand on it, clearly that we are dead to sin and alive to God. For indeed that which he adds: 'In Our Lord Jesus Christ,' is the way of fulfilling the vow.
