The Perfect Day

Because the elect aim at good things that that they might not return to the doing of evil: 'He who perseveres to the end will be saved.' 1 And as Solomon said:'The seed of the righteous is as a light giving out its splendour and it grows even to the full day.' 2 For in the souls of those with good desire, and the understanding of the inner light, even now they are part of the day, but because they advance in virtue up to the end of life, and then come to the perfect day, when they are led to the kingdom of heaven, in that light which now they desire they shall not have something less.
