Wisdom And Purity

Τιμιωτέρα δέ ἐστιν λίθων πολυτελῶν οὐκ ἀντιτάξεται αὐτῇ οὐδὲν  Τουτέστι τοῖς Βουλομένοις οὐδὲν δύσκολον ἔχοι, καθάπερ ἡ τῶν χρημάτων ἐπιθυμία· νοῦς καθαρὸς ἐγγίζει σοφίᾳ· ἐπειδὴ τὸ εὖ γινώσκει· ὁ δὲ ἀκάθαρτος μακρυνθήεται ἀπ' αὐτῆς.  Ὠριγένης, Ἐκλογαὶ Εἰς Παροιμίας, Κεφ Γ' Source: Migne PG 17.168c

Wisdom is more precious than jewels and nothing can compare to her... 1 To the one who wishes to have it, it brings no trouble, but it as the desire for riches.
