| Quia omnia dimittuntur filiis hominum peccata... Sanctus Albertus Magnus, Commentarium In Evangelium Divi Marci, Caput III Source: Here p36 |
Because every sin shall be forgiven the sons of men... 1 These are the sins which arise from the ignorance or the weakness of men, for they come forth from human temptation, 'Let no temptation seize you unless it is human.' 2 But this sin, because it was known by human reason, did not come forth from ignorance, and because it was not from flesh and blood it was not possible to ascribe it to the infirmity of the flesh, and therefore it had no human root but it came forth from the undoubted wickedness of envy and had a diabolic root. Therefore He says that every sin shall be forgiven the sons of men which comes through the root of the sons of men, and likewise blasphemies shall be forgiven the sons of men which come from the root of ignorance or infirmity in the sons of men, by which the sons of men are sons of ignorance and weakness.
