Acquiring Nobility

Καὶ ἦν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος εὐγενής, τῶν ἀφ' ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν. Πρὸς μὲν οὖν τὸ ῥητὸν, εὐγενὴς τοῦ ἀφ' ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν, λέγεται, διὰ τὴν κατὰ σάρκὰ τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ οἰκειότητα· πρὸς δὲ ἀναγωγὴν, οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ φωτὸς, καὶ τέκνα Θεοῦ δι' ἔργων φωτεινῶν χρηματίζονται, οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἀφ' ἡλίου ἀνατολῶν. And that man was of good birth among those who live in the direction of the rising sun. 1 According to the letter he was well born among those who live in the direction of the rising sun, because according to the flesh he was of the house of Abraham.
