Prayer And Guests

Tertullianus, De Oratione, Caput XVI

Do not let not a brother who has entered your house depart without a prayer: you have seen a brother, it says, you have seen your Lord, especially if he is a stranger, lest perhaps he be an angel. 1 And when you are received by the brethren, do not give earthly refreshment precedence over the things of heaven, for immediately your faith will be judged. Or how will you, according to the command, say 'Peace be to this house,' 2 unless you also bring peace to those in the house and receive it?

Tertullian, On Prayer, Chapter 26

2 Lk 10.5
