Threefold Grace

Quid habes quod non accepisti? Crearis, sanaris, salvaris. Qui recte sapiunt, hanc triplicem divinae gratiae confitentur operationem. Prima est formatio, secunda reformatio, tertia consummatio. Primo in Deo Christo foramur, secundo per ipsum reformamur, tandem per ipsum et cum ipso consummabimur. Siquidem quod non erat in illo creari oportuit; quod erat et deformatum erat, per formam reformari, et memba non nisi a capite perfici; quod erit cum occurremus in vivum perfectum et mensuram aetatis plenitudinis Christi. Quando apparebit Christus vita nostra tunc et nos apparebimus cum ipso in gloria. Creatio ergo fit sine noibs; consummatio de nobis, neutra a nobis. Sola reformatio quodammodo fit nobiscum, propter consensum voluntarium. What do you have that you have not received? 1 You are created, you are healed, you are saved. He who rightly understands confesses the threefold operation of Divine grace. First is formation, second reformation, and third consummation. Firstly were are formed in Christ, secondly we are reformed through Him, finally through and in Him we are perfected. Certainly it was necessary to create what was not in Him, and to reform what was and had become deformed, and then the members are not perfected apart from the head, which shall be when we come to the perfect life and the measure of the age of the fullness of Christ, when Christ our life shall appear and we shall appear with Him in glory. 2 Therefore creation is performed without us, and perfection concerns us but neither are from us. Only reformation is done with us on account of the consent of the will.
