Noah And Respite

Ὁ δίκαιος Νῶε τὸν Χριστὸν χαρακτηρίζει, τὸν λέγοντα ἐν τοῖς Εὐαγγελίοις· Δεῦτε πρός με πάντες οἱ πεφορτισμένοι τοῖς πολλοῖς παραπτώμασιν, κἀγὼ ἀναπαύσω ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ τῆς Ἐκκλησίας, λελυτρωμένους ἐργασίας φαυλοτάτης καὶ ἐπικαταράτου. The righteous Noah is a type of Christ, He who said in the Gospels, 'Come to me all of you who are weighed down with burdens and I shall give you rest,' 1 that is, in the ark of the Church, being liberated from the most wretched and execrable troubles.
