Learning And Simplicity

Ὥσπερ οἱ τοῖς πρώτοις γράμμασι στοιχειούμενοι παῖδες, τῷ καθηγητῇ ἀτενίζουσι πρὸς ὅτερ ἂν τὴν γραφίδα ἀρμόσῃ, ἄσμενοι καὶ εὐπειθῶς τοὺς χαρακτῆρας δεχόμενοι· οὕτως καὶ τοὺς τῶν θείων φοιτητὰς ἔπεσθαι τοῖς τούτον διδασκάλοις, νηπιώδη ἀπλότητα, καὶ ἀνενδοίαστον συγκατάθεσιν ἔχοντας. As boys learning their first letters attend to their teacher so that their letters conform to his, and they are pleased and eager to receive the letters, so even should the learners of things Divine follow their teachers, in childlike simplicity, and with unshakeable harmony.
