Silence In Heaven

Factum est silentium in caelo quasi media hora Est silentium quod est contemplatio. Coelum est anima justi. Unde: Coleum sedes mea est; et: Coeli enrrant gloriam Dei. 'There was silence in heaven for almost half an an hour.' 1 It is the silence that is contemplation. Heaven is the soul of the righteous man. Hence, 'Heaven is my seat.' 2 And, 'The heavens announce the glory of God.' 3 Therefore when the quiet of the contemplative life is practiced in the mind, there is silence in heaven, which because it is not perfect in the present, lasts not for an hour, but for part of an hour.
