Clashing Concerns

Εἰ τῆς ἀνοχῆς τοῦ Θεοῦ, καὶ τῆς μακροθυμίας, ὦ τάλας, καταφρονεῖς, κἂν τὰ παρόντα αἰδέσθητι. Πολλοὶ γὰρ πρὸς τὰ μέλλοντα ἀβλεπτοῦντες, τὰς ἐνταῦθα ἐκκλίνουσι κωμῳδίας. If you scorn the patience and forbearance of God, O wretched man, then present things will be your concern. For many blind to future things turn to things here which please them.
