From the fruit of righteousness grows the tree of life. 1 The fruit of righteousness is the perfection of virtue. As many as the trees of life a man has, so many are the fruits of righteousness. This tree of life is planted in the midst of paradise, which Adam was prohibited from touching after sin, 2 since he had thrown away the seeds of righteousness, from which the tree of righteousness grows.
